looking for performance parts for mybuddies 2000 v6 firebird 5sp

so far we have done
Fast Toys Ram Air kit (****ty construction)
Pro 5.0 short shifter
RK 94-97 dual exhaust muffler

what else can be done. chip, n2o, supercharger (i know someone is working on a custom setup for sale. any idea on price and availability). what about p/p intake/heads or cams?

Look at the RPO codes, they can be found on the door. If there is G80, then it comes with LSD. 2000 was the first year some cars got LSD for no apparent reason, even if they didn't have Y87.

If he has FTRA he doesn't need the SLP one that is exactly the same. He has 3.23 gears since it is a 5 speed.

ok so what else can he do? anyone makes cam for these cars? i heard the heads and intake are awsome and p/p wouldnt do much good, is that true? anyone make a larger MAF or TB? who makes good chips?

You can buy 3.73 gears and a limited slip differential. You can get a cam from the grandprixstore.com or from supersix motorsports. Supersix also do port and polish on heads and intake. Got nitrous? 160* thermostat, fan switch, drag radial tires, control arms and panhard rod (gets rid of wheel hop). Maft+ can tune your car. Or you could get a jetchip, but I wouldn't if I were you, because it isn't good with nitrous or a supercharger.

It all depends on what he is willing to spend and if he likes the idea of nitrous.

-Intake (get a k&n if he doesn't already)
-Exhaust (headers & 3" all the way back)
-Replace the driveshaft w/ a 1le aluminum
-Put in a zexel-torsen or posi rear end if he doesn't already have, maybe even a higher gear (3.42's)
-Get great tires (kumho seem to do well)

After that, he needs to decided if he wants Naturally Aspirated, N20, or Forced Induction. If 1. then do some engine work (port & polish heads, you will see gains from that, might as well port & polish intake too, cam, etc.) If 2. install a N2O kit. If 3. Then read up the forced induction board.

To be honest, questions like "What should I do to my car" are asked almost daily. Do a search on the different sections of the board, check out the modifications encyclopedia, you will learn a *lot*.
