as noted in previous post my buddy has a 2000 v6 5sp firebird. we see lots of parts for 94-97 buit not 98+. what changed?
my buddy chris uses this name more than i do. he has a 2000 v6 firebird 5 speed

    ok for one...

the 3rd gen Fbodys ended in 92.

    4th Gen ranges from 93-present.

    93-95 fbody's have a 3.4
    96+ have the 3.8

Most parts from a 96+ should fit/work or whatever for your friends Camaro.

what was said above. most noticeable feature is the body style. KIinda like the diffrence of stangs like oyurs and 99+.

The 3.8L V6 was actually an option in mid-'95, and was only available w/an A4 trans at that time.

lmfao!!! Your all so gung ho to ***** that you'll even argue over wrong facts. People on this site really need to calm down and stop getting so damn offended.

But anyways, Blake; just search this forum and look around on the net you'll find most everything that changed. The interior changed somewhere around 97 and again slightly in 98. Engine changes as mentioned and exterior changes as mentioned in 98. 97 had the same rims as 98 and they again changed in 2000 I think. Tail lights in camaros changed in 97. Thats all I can think of.

Well not sure what year they did this but the biggest difference and the most welcomed change in the Camaro was when they put 3 more cup holders on it. I had a 94 auto and hated having just one cup holder. I really can't imagine having a stick and having only that one cup holder. Now I only use my center one for pennies and change before it goes into the changer holder which is anouther of the greatest inovations in camaros, ha ha. I just wish I had a little lcd in the rear view mirror telling me what my gas mileage is, which direction I'm heading and the outside temperature. That would be sweet.

don't forget about the change in 98+ to 4 wheel disc brakes standard and they're made by bosch now. oh yeah and the 95.5 3.8L was a california model. in 2000 they stuck in a more "header" shaped exhaust manifold which some say is more power but i don't it.
i was swimming in the carribean. animals were hiding behind the rocks except for the little fish, but they told me the squid\'s trying to talk to me. oink, oink. where is my mind?
