  • Choking at 210

Temperature goes up to about 210 and then my car start choking. This happens when i am idle at the light. Is it normal for my temp to be that high while idling.

Yes, the temp will climb up to 210 when long duration idleing occurs. The fans kick on and the temp should go back down to a stock 195 degrees. What do you mean by chocking? Does it stall, hesitate, jump a few times then smooth out, stall and will not start again,...?

The temperature would not go down till i start moving the car. But as i move it hesitate very badly and smooth out as the temperature goes below 190. Hesitates + jerk.

When was your last tuneup, and what did it include?
Spark plugs & wires, fuel & air filters, and a shot of seafoam couldn't hurt. If problems still persist, then I'd suggest replacing the IAC (idle air control) valve.

The iac valve can be found at Autozone for about $40-$50. Give or take a few bux. That valve is easy to replace, and my idle gave me a WORLD of trouble until I finally replaced it.
