does anyone know if a v6 fbody radiator is the same pn as the v8?

i have a 93 camaro that i'm swapping an ls1 into...was going to get an LT1 rad but now I think the LT1 and the v6 radiators might be the same...

    thanks again guys,
    zig

im pretty sure you have to use a rad for the ls1, they are different from the lt1's

Some info on this site might help. Especially the charts.

As long as the hoses go to and from your water pump and the rest of the lines/plugs are in order, you should be able to use the LT1 radiator.

I know someone who is using the stock LT1 rad on his 97 to LS1 swap. In fact, I believe the LT1 has more capacity than the LS1.

The rads are interchangable. The thing is that the ls1 has a 2nd nipple on the back that you attach a hose for the coolant steam line to.

I do not believe the v8 Lt1 radiators had this nipple. I know for a fact the v6 one definetely does not.

I was wondering if the v6 radiator was the same pn as the v8. Not whether I should use an LT1 rad vs an LS1 rad.

no problem. Also some v8 radiators have a hole for a "Low Coolant Sensor" . Now if the car you are using it in does not have this sensor you will need an adjustable freeze plug to plug that hole.
