  • vac line question

    from MAP TO FPR can i use a soft vac line instead of the hard line that is on it? i snapped mine in half.. also anyone know the size so if i can use a soft one i can get one before i go work on the car tomorrow?

    i did the same thing when i did my manifold gaskets, you can get the hard stuff from o'reillys in like a roll of 3ft....as for the soft, cant help you.

      I think the size is 3/8" or 1/4" ,I 'll have to look at it, will post later on , if I get a chance unless someone posts it sooner.

        i would rather use soft.. but i am not sure if the suction is so much it will collapse the line.. there has to be a reason they used soild

          I used a hard type rubber line, so it doesn't crack or rip easy. I'm aheaded over to get me car hand washed & waxed, so I'll take a look when I get back. I want to say it was 3/8" though, Because it made that plastic line running back there look really thin.
