ok... any ideas off the bat of what this might be?
1996 camaro, and it does need a tune up.. has needed one
squeaking noise at idle.. kind of a chirpin squeak.
under acceleration it has this ticking noise, and the squeak quites a little.
seems like some power is taken away, idles about 1k
but oil pressure and coolant temp seem fine....
so, any ideas?
I'm going to take off the belt later, and start it to see if it stops, and give the pulleys a spin. idle seems about normal now. and the noise isn't AS bad.
I had the same problem there was a light squeeking when the car was idleing and i let it go for a about a month and the sqeek got gradually louder then came to be it was the dam AC ompressor clutch! and the ticking noise i here to when i accelerate im thinking its the alternator?
