cam98aro / EarlR,
I'm curious, why do you say that all dyno charts have torque/HP intersections at 5252 rpms? Does that result from the dyno itself? Some sort of standard measure? I'm having difficulty getting my head around every engine having that characteristic.
just look at some of the charts, and ones that show HP and TQ in the same graph, locate 5252 and thats where they cross at.
Team NoVa
2000 Firebird- Intake, Pacesetters, !cat, full 2.5 to flowcrapster, 1.9 rockers, LS6 springs and Intense modded retainers, WS6 speedlines, T/A bumpers and hatch, 5 spd swapped, SOON TO BE nitrous'd and cammed.
And just to muddy the waters a little; when I had my '02 on the dyno (manual trans), bone stock it's best run was 164hp and 192tq. After installing the K&N FIPK the best run (of 2) was 169hp and 192tq. Different dynos, different operators, different weather, different mileage, different tires...etc, etc, etc... Your mileage will vary :)
Just curious cam98aro, what formula did you use to calculate tq from hp? I thought you needed to know the rpm at which the max tq was made to get that figure.
HP and torque meet at 5250rpm on a graph.
Sorry just seen your posts on page 2
