You need to tap into one of the O2 sensor wires going into the PCM. You want the O2 sensor that is just before the cat. On the 3.4L I cant seem to find the right O2 sensor in the Chiltons. I found the left and right sensors that are on the manifolds. They are pins 21 and 22 respectively on "Connector B". They are purple and purple/white. These really are not what you want because the reading will jump around too much. Um.. I cant seem to find any other O2 sensor on the 3.4L, so you may have to use one of those.
Does anyone know more about the 3.4L O2 sensors?

On a 3.4, you only have a choice of manifold left or manifold right, so take your pick, but only one at a time please.
The stock O2 sensors are switching type sensors. You do realize that all you will see on an A/F gauge is rich or lean as the ECU flips and flops the mixture. You will not be able to see anything that could be considered a reliable A/F ratio.
If you wanted to do it right you could just buy an O2 sensor ( or just pull one off a 3.8L in the Junk Yard ) and mount it right after the Y-pipe. Just pull an O2 from the Y-pipe from under a newer F-body.
