yeah, usually it'll be fine for a minute, then things get ugly really quick. mine came from the waterpump leaking and the coolant was leaking right into the dizzy which is why it never occured to me it being the opti.

what year is your z anyways?

        btw, check your pms.

you car doesn't really say "Trans Am" on the side does it? that is just for the sig isn't it? Not hating, just curious...

and I know I'm a noob 3.4orNothing, but the reason I like this site is there are no V8 sections, have you ever been to a forum for V8 and asked a V6 question, you get flamed to hell and back or they can't help you fully cause they don't own or have never owned a V6. The whole uniqueness about this site is that it taylors just to us V6 owners. Just my 2 cents...I like it the way it is...V6 for life...represent

<<< Owned more Chevy V8's than all other engines combined...

I stay here because of the ppl and thier willingness to help. And the bit of comedy here and there LOL.

I agree with bibber, I hear more about opti than anything else when it comes to the LT1's...

It could be the ignition module, when mine went the car would run good cold but when it got heatsoaked the car would buck and miss like crazy.

Buy a new ignition module and slather the back of it with di-electric grease(they usually come with it in the pkg.

You might also want to check your fuel pressure with a gauge off the test port near the back passenger side of the intake manifold.

That should cure your problem,if not go through the opti check list on this site:

It's not that I don't believe you, and yes I agree that we are all family, but that doesn't go for everyone...I just feel the reason there is "V6" in the "domain" name is for "V6" users to have a place to come to that only talks "V6". There isn't much of a market for us, granted it's getting bigger, but there are tons of F-BODY sites and mods for V8's, but very little "only" V6 sites or mods. So why you yelling anyways, if we are all family you don't need to yell at me.

You might want to look back at the history or previous threads of the V8 owners on here. Most, if not all of them on here started out with a V6. This means that they probably have quite a bit of knowledge and experience when it comes to these cars, more so than a lot of other people on here. So while you're complaining about them being on a V6 forum, you may want to consider that they could probably provide helpful advice next time you need it.
