Check your alternator. Mine died one night coming home from work..the car lost so much juice that it couldnt fire the fuel injectors right so she started backfiring like a b*tch. Thatd be my first guess. Or else you have a huge As* stereo..in that case look into a capacitor.1979 Z28 Camaro, 1 of 10,000 Factory 4 speeds.
1994 Camaro Sport Coupe, M5
Best ET: 15.31@91.5 (25 hp NOS)

I think your talking about the same pulleys. I have replaced my idler pulleys, and my alternator pulleys plus one more. My Idler pulley broke while driving and threw off my belt and that was fun. I got aftermarket ones installed not but a few weeks ago. My car seems to run better I like them.\'02 Corvette Z06

Depends on what engine on the 95 he has. You will notice a voltage drop but not so much as to kill the car. I run two amps with a larger alt and both under drive pulleys with no problems.94 Quasar Blue Z28
http://www.9t4z28.com
http://www.9t4z28.com/Dyno1.htm

I think that those 3 10" pioneer subs have something to do with the voltage drops. yeah, i ran both alt and crank and my power was down in the red everytime at idle, so i just put the alt stock one back on, and it seems to start charged now.. My voltage drops into the red at a light, too. I was looking into getting pullies and only using the alternator pulley in hopes of speeding up the alt's rpms. If you only install a crank pulley, you slow down ALL the accessories, steering pump, a/c compressor, alternator, etc. Doesn't the crank/alt set of pullies keep the alternator running at stock speeds yet slow down everything else?
So, zzcop2001, how did your set-up work for you in the long run? no, the alt pulley slows the alternator even more. with only the crank pulley, full charge is at 900 rpm. with both, it's at 1100 rpm.

I think he hit the nail on the head, he might need new alt. but I think he is suckin a little to much power with 3 10"s and pulleys. Just my 2¢
