im not sure about your car, but if it is stock, i would just get some ac delco plugs and wires.. you dont need to spend a ton of money on "high performance" spark plug wires for a stock car IMO
I just did my plugs (first thing I did, about half a year ago) myself... picked up a set of NGK Iridium IX's, and they run nicely... I also did my wires at the same time...
Steps I would recommend for doing wires -
1) Remove new wires from box, lay out and organize based on length.
2) Remove old wire from plug, then trace back and remove from the coils.
3) Replace old plug with new plug.
4) Compare old wire to new wire, find the one that is the closest fit.
5) Put the new wire on the coil, thread it back where the old wire came from, and attach the wire to the plug.
That way, you don't mess up the order of coil to cylinder. :)
Also, as far as tools go, I picked up a cheap-o "Mechanics Tool Set" from Target for $20 on sale... I think it was like $28 regularly... It's definitely been a life saver at college... Otherwise I have access to a full compliment of tools, thanks to my dad. :)
I'll second Turbo on that... I went and did all of the wires/plugs... I think retail would've been around $150? Even so, that's way better than $450, and you get the pride of doing it yourself. :)
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
