Re: need to run at least a 14.2sec 1/4
whats he got done to his gti? is it tuned yet? any other mods?
as a guy whose first love is vee dubs, i gotta say hes already starting with more...bigger down pip, stage 3 apr tune, bigger bov, and intake and hes got close to 270 at the wheels...but it all depends on if he is allowed to tune his car in the bet. if he leaves his car stock then you may stand a chance.Team NoVa

Re: need to run at least a 14.2sec 1/4
a cam and good tuning alone should put you low 14's or into the 13's...heads and weight reduction will very easily put you in the 13's
are you auto or 5speed? if your auto get a stall...and some nice sticky tires...cam, tuning, stall, and sticky tires will put you in the 13's alone

How about gears, like 4.10's or 4.56's? Maybe 4.56's would be too much for daily driving, but to kick the VW's butt in a race, and then go back to whatever he'd normally use. Just a thought, but I'm no drag racing expert.2002 Silver Firebird A4
T-Tops, Leather, Y87, W68, Chrome Wheels
Bone Stock

i say, intake, exhaust (catback, cat, and headers), weight reduction, new rear (4.10's and LSD), new plugs and wires, aluminum DS, P&P heads and tune it all... and depending, maybe a cam.
but yeah, you should be able to get him if he stays stock :D

Theres a guy running in the high 13s with full boltons, gearing and weight reduction. Is you car an auto? If so stall, servo, shift kit. 4.10s, lots of weight reduction and you will get him. Or spend about 600 bucks, get n20 and runa 100 shot with full bolt ones and you should hang. No matter what...your gonna be spending lots o' money

what year car do you have? 98+ car I would go with a stealth dry nitrous setup and go beat him. He will think you are NA yet and you walk right by him. Of course intake and exhaust work needed at minimum along with some other small stuff. But engine can be stock with the nitrous
