Ignition question

On my 94 3.4 5 speed, i am having a slight problem with slight missing under load. When you are sitting still she revs fine. However, under load, usually in 3rd, if you floor it, it backfires fairly loudly (from the drivers side bank of cylinders), then catches on. However, you can still feel it shuddering slightly up until you hit 4th gear. I got new plugs and wires on it. Think one of the coils is shot? ideas?

What brand of plug wires did you get. There is always a possibility that one is defective.
