  • Dis 4 problem.....

    With the DIs4 hooked up I have a rough idle. With it unhooked I still have a rough idle. Anybody know whats goin on? The only thing I can think of is the Col interface units are crap. I dont know. HELP!!! :(

    Anyone. Does it make a difference which channel goes where? Has anybody else had this problem? If so, how did you fix it?

      I know its the CUI. There are 4 wires on the CUI. White, Black, Black, White. There are two prongs on the CUI. One has the 12 volts one doesnt. I believe the prong closet to the firewall carries the 12 volts. each prong on the CUI corralates to a black and white wire. Couldn't i bypass the stupid CUI's and hook up the black and white wires to the prongs on the stock module. I.E. Coil + which is white and 12V which is the closet black wire to the Coil + wire could be soilderd to the 12 volt prong on the stock module. AND Trigger and Coil - (2nd black wire with 2nd white wire) soildered to the non-12 volt prong on the stock module. Please help.

        anybody? Has anybody put this in their car and not have this problem

          [in a loud and demanding voice] TADA...I’m here to "try" to save the day [/in a loud and demanding voice]

          Is this all of a sudden, or are you just now hooking up the DIS-4?
          As for the wires, you WILL NEED TO FIND out which one has the 12v+ There is NO GUESSING when it comes to this. If you screw it up, and guess wrong, you will NEVER get the car to run.
          You need to check for voltage on all 3 of the CIU plate to ensure that you know what is what.

          The colors that are coming from the DIS-4 NEED TO BE TOGEATHER as well. Green wire goes with the white wire with the green stripe, and so on and so forth. I had this problem when I was hooking up mine.

          Once you get all that sorted out, post back and we can go from there. With the DIS-4 hooked up as well as not hooked up, you did something wrong in the wiring.

            Sorry about that other thread, it was directed towards a member whom had the same problem, but its allllllllllll good. I found the problem, bad CUI. One of the prongs was not conducting elec. I checked it with a voltmeter. I have anoter one on the way, and i am sending the other one back for credit. Thanx for the help, sorry for the double post.

              your wiring is off, keep the bypass in when testing
              use an Ohm meter to test which side has the 12v+ source
              then wire the wiring loome to the configuration that the instructions came with, then test with bypass in, then take it out
