• SLP rocker arm package

I was wondering if anyone had the SLP rocker arm package with some other mods, I have quite a lot of mods and was wondering if the rocker arm package would work well with them, and I'm also planning a supercharger in the near future. Any comments or facts would be much appreciated. thanks

not really something to help you but I was just about to post a post on this...

Anyone have the numbers form the GM highperformance issue where they showed hp and torque gained across the power band from the rockers?

i don't have the numbers, but they were below 10 hp, and i seem to remember 8.

they will help with lift and stuffs, but for the best gains with a supercharger i would buy a blower cam. when you look at the price and potential gains, i feel like it's a no-brainer.

but if you get them, let us know

From GM high-tech performance, May 2003:

        horsepower increase: 9.5 hp
        torque increase: 5.6 lb.ft.

if those are to the wheels thats not too shabby, 9.5 hp to the wheels is about 13-14 to the crank or so and about 8-9 torque, a nice boost for no driveability issues.

yeah it was nice, and it was also throughout the entire powerband.

what do you think would be better, the rocker set, a new cam, or both? And does anyone know of a good place to get a good cam?

i was debating this also for a while. it seems to be a better deal to get a cam, thats kind of given, but for install and drivability issues, rockers may be pretty good for the price...

I have them and I have lots of mods. It makes an unbelieveable difference between 55 and 85 mph. SLP told me that with there rockers I would see a gain of about 15 rwhp because of the other mods I done already. Still though, Id rather have a cam.

You and the Sickness could probably have them on your car and running in under 2 hours:) I know they've gone under the valve covers before, Kris could probably do it with his eyes closed by now!

They are not the best deal but they are more daily driver friendly then a cam. I actually been thinking about them for my sleeper setup
