How to change Fuel Injector?

First heres my problem. My car started missing real bad so I changed the plugs and wires with bosch plantinum plugs and oem style wires. The car kept missing so I replaced the bosch with ac delco plugs, and the miss went away for about 3 days. I replaced the coil packs too. I ran the code and it said that I had a miss in number 4. So my diagnosis is that the fuel injector is either running the cylinder to lean or its running to rich, fouling the plug and making it miss. Does this sound reasonable to you.

Second, my injector should be here by next week sometime. How do I go about changing it in cylinder #4. I know its the middle one on the passenger side of the motor. I can get to it without many problems, but I don't want to break anything. How do I change it. My local shop wants $110 labor (I just paid $111 for one injector, seal kit and shipping) to change it so I want to see if its easy to do or not before I dish out a lot of money.

you will probably have to unbolt the fuel rail from the intake it is 4 small bolts 2 on each side of the intake then all you do is take out the wireing harness and use a screw driver to push of the c-clip and then u must pull really hard to get the injector out of the fuel rail. Once out get the new one put the o-rings on it and then take some kind of lunricant i use a drop of motor oil or AFT and lube up the o-rings and then u need to put the injector back on the rail and get the c-clip on it and then make sure the injector goes all the way into the mainfold and seals.

My personal opinion is that it isnt an injector i think u need to go with a colder range plug. Something like the NGK TR6 these plugs are only like 12 dollars but the are made for nitrous and boost conditions. I would honestly give these a try. Also leave them gapped to .035

Also, the car only misses when its under 1400 rpm with a load on the engine. If I drive in 3rd (auto) and keep it at 2-3000 rpms then it never misses.
I'll try the ngk plugs next. thanks for your help!

On my 96 there are 3 bolts and one nut, the one with the nut is on the drivers side in the back. Man sorry to hear they got you for 100.00+ for one injector. you should have just posted a message about injectors, or got v8 injectors for later if you plan on some nice mods. I would have sold you a whole set of 3.8 injectors for 55.00 shipped all in great shape, car had low mileage when they were removed.

windber pa unfortunately its teh oxycotin part of this wonderfull state. I cant even count how many drug addict punk kids i had to slap around..... man i hate this part of pa, 5 years ago this was a great city :( damn drug addicts :(
