the headlights come on when i turn the headlight knob.........when i turn the headlight switch....its just when i put the key in and turn the key.......there is no power to the cluster ........none of the lights come on......if the starter was the problem......the other courtesy lights should have atleast come in? right? i do have the test light.....and i will try doing it.......i highly doubt thats the prob.....but ill try .......thanks

You have a fuse problem....end transmission...

ok the wires to the starter and everywhere else is getting the power.........i just checkd it with the tester........CHANGED ALL THE FUSES!!!!!!!.........so at this point the battery,fuses or the wires are not the problem......any other suggesstions!?

My car did the same thing. When that happent to me it did not want to start then it finally did. I drove for about 30min then the car died at the stop light. It would not start. I had to have it taken to the shop and it ended up being the Ignition Switch.

Your missing a fuse then...and Ballee, no offense, but stop yelling at people...they are just trying to help...I know your mad at your car and prolly tired of troubleshooting her, but "we" did nothing to you...so quit the yelling...thanks...

i did got my ignition lock cyclinder changed a year ago......so would the ignition switch cause the same problem.....?

Dude, I read all your posts...you're very quick to dismiss **** and your very rude...you use CAPS for things that seem to irritate you and your exclamation points are more than "one" for most everything...just pointing it out...it may be why your not getting the "response" you want...

my vote still stands with the BCM module...if that module is bad you wont be able to start the car...all other lights/bells and whistles should work...

Mr.Ne0hisdone........lets just agree to disagree and move on with the problem.....now if the BCM module was the problem like u said then cluster lights should work but in this situation no cluster lights are not working...now the fuseable link to starter is a junction point....i assume....and now is the fuse of the wire to starter withing the wire coating caz i did check for the current abt 10 icnhs from the battery.

The battery cable to the starter is not fused. If there are wires on the same terminal that the battery cable goes to on the starter, those have fusible links for about the first 6 inches off the starter. Vats through the BCM disables the fuel pump and the starter from working. It shouldn't stop the dash lights from working, but anything is possible.

whats the car do when you try and crank it over? does it make any sounds? can you hear the fuel pump? can you hear the starter?

the car dont make no sound........it is dead....not even a click.....even though the battery is full charged

Sounds like VATS especially if you dont get a click or fuel pump sounds. But the dashboard lights are a mystery.
