dats wat i dont understand either.....even my friend at the GM dealership came by today and he said.....the car is acting abnormal...the guages should come on no matter wat. he wants me to bring the car to the stealership.....$95 per hour
you dont even hear the fuel pump humming when the car is placed in the run position only?
If not then I am strongly leaning towards the BCM module, simply because if you checked all the wires, all the grounds, and all the fuses...the odds that your fuel pump and starter killed themselves at exactly the same time, is highly unlikely. The dash lights could be another seperate problem...
That being said...you wouldnt happen to have an alarm system on the car or kill switches would you? I know with my alarm system when I have it armed the fuel pump and starter are cut...car wont crank over or start at all...if the previous owner installed something like a kill switch and you flipped it, that will cause the car not to start either.
yes there is a kill switch.......but its been there for over 5 years i never touched it wat so ever...
that may be another thing you wanna double check...make sure it is in same spot and didnt get knocked...and you might want to follow the wiring from it to make sure it isnt shorting out.
A buddy of mine had an integra with a couple kill switches...had problems starting his car, car even felt like it was going to die when he had 3-4 people in it...wanted to stall out...his dad went through the wiring and eliminated the kill switches and it seemed to solve the problem...
hey guys............progress report..........i checked the resistance both on the key and the cylinder lock wires.......they are perfect...exact! 7400....now wat else i can do ?

I would hope they are...or you have the wrong keys to the car...that thread was how to bypass vats incase that is the problem...meaning you would be able to take that chip off your key and still start the car...incase the ignition is not reading the key chip...
yes...the car is at the shop......the guy said its some wiring issue and he will have to go through the wiring and let me know by tommo.......i was just eliminating all the possible scenario's..........thanks all you guys........ill let u know wat happens tommo
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
Hello, so I changed the front bearings on the bird and the ABS inoperative light came on. I made a mistake of not removing negative battery cable. Now...
I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
