im having an issue right now where ther is a small ticking noise comeing from under the car from the drive shaft i have 98 firebird which came stock with a 2 piece drive shaft and broke so i replaced it with a Ls1 aluminum drive shaft and has been working fine till now it makes a small ticking noise when im rolling really slow im thinking its the seal on the trans to the shaft but im not sure has anyone expierenced this?

lack of grease...would be my guess...
do this test, jack the rear end up, and spin each wheel (grab at 12 and 6 o'clock)...if there is alot of play you have a bearing problem and if not then you have what tomham suggested a bad u-joint...Last edited by ne0hisda0ne; 05-11-2009, 04:09 PM.

im pretty sure its a bad u joint cause i just replaced it with the aluminum drive shaft that i purchased from a guy who had driven supposly 30,000 miles on it and after i installed it it has made that ticking noise.
how much would a u- joint cost?
and where would i get one?
