  • getting plastic piece off of gauge cluster

    how is this done?

i cant pull the plastic piece that goes around the gauges off (the gray one) because of my alarm light, unless i cut and splice the wires

so i tried to leave that piece on, and get the clear piece of plastic off, but it seems like it is glued on somehow

    any tips?

The clear piece is glued to the black piece that lays over/around your gauges... an that black piece is held in place by tabs... I would think they'd be pretty hard to get to without removing the plastic

The alarm light should have a plug that you can disconnect... try popping it out through the top of the dash and unplugging it...

thanks, i didnt realize how much of a PITA this would be

its an aftermarket alarm, and is directly connected into the wiring
