  • Spark plug

OK I have been searching for about a week now trying to find out if anyone has had an issue getting a socket on the #2 spark plug and havent found anything. Has anyone ever had a spark plug sink past the manifold? Like the manifold shifting or anything? Im lost and need to get this spark plug replaced. Its a buddies car and now he wants to sell it.

      Re: Spark plug

Are you using a spark plug socket, because the #2 is the first one on the pass. side and is one of the easiest to get out. A spark plug socket has black rubber inside it to protect the plug and it latches onto it to pull it out. It is not a normal socket.

        Re: Spark plug

its easier to jack the car up and get to them from underneath.

Yeah he was using a spark plug socket, then he tried a thin wall deep. Neither are able to get onto the plug. Yes #2, having no problem getting to the socket. I personally havent had a chance to get at it. Just trying to see if anyone has heard of anything like this. I should have time this weekend and Im pretty sure he hasnt tried an open end.
