i;m just curious. i was over at v6power and i noticed that people are blowing there motors on a 100 shot of juice. so which motor is built better and why? can someone explain

I say GM because mine is a GM, so i have a biased opinionFactory:Camaro 5 speed, Color Pewter, w/ t-tops and Y87 package. <br />Engine: K&N filter w/ Whisper Lid, FRA, Borla adjustable cat-back exhaust. I think that has to do with all the aftermarket part for the stangs. They have at least 10X the parts we have. There is only 1 supercharger kit for the camaro 3.8 and its only at 6psi-9psi tops. I have driven the ford 3.8's and its nothing to GM's. Also their parts are cheaper which make it easier for the money challenged like me :D .White 98 Camaro with t-tops leather and Y87. i think the newest ford 3.8 puts out 190+- hp. not bad at all, I bet they get a better set of stock gears then we do. Here is where I can be of use:
94-95 3.8's had head gasket problems but also came with forged rods.
96-98 got powdered metal rods,stronger block
99+ got an even better block
Everyone who has tried a 125 shot on the ford 3.8 has blown the motor by either melting a piston or breaking a rod.
Many of us however spray 100 shot. I have been for the last 2 years. i run 13.4's on the stock longblock,suspension and tires and 15.2 on the motor. Its all about setting up your fuel system correctly, getting a proper tune and not being stupid while spraying.
