I'm looking for cheap things i can do to put my car into the high-14 second range in the 1/4. I have a couple of ideas so far:
1) whisper lid: any ideas of how this will improve my trap speed/overall et?
2) Ignition mods: any suggestions for ignition mods are welcome, I've heard its a fairly inexpensive way to get some hp.
3) If anyone could give me a link to some inexpensive drag tires that would be great.

Don't know what the gains are on just the whisper lid, but my friend gained 1.5 - 2 mph when he added the SLP underchin ram air to his intake (he already had a lid).
Also, I have no experiance with the Nitto's, but I know that the BFG Comp T/A DR's are good tires. You can mount them on 15x7 thirdgen wheels and they will clear the rear discs on 4th gens.
I have gears and lsd: what kind of results would I see with a driveshaft?
EDIT: 3.42s with an Auburn.....

If all you want is good et's at the track, go with the lid and sticky tires. You only need 4 tenths
Maybe an exhaust cutout too...
Ignition mods on n/a applications not necessary.
