Performance?

Im not really sure what forum to put this in so i put it in general. I have a 2000 Firebird 3.8 a4 with y87 and a magnaflow highflow cat, and magnaflow 2.5 v6 muffler. Im looking to get the most perfromance without adding f/i or getting into the engine. What should i do? I wanna get the most bang for buck without tearing it apart.

I have read through it a few times, and no nitrous... I was thinking a maybe and alum driveshaft, tune, slp cai, k&n filter, thermostat, and maybe have the shift points ajusted... What will that do for performance?

i wouldnt do a thermo, but that is just personal preference, i think the stock one is fine IMO

getting a tune should free up some horsepower, and the cai and filter will let the engine breath more, but it will be restricted by the stock exhaust manifolds, so i would suggest doing headers also

i wouldnt think you would need to get the shift points adjusted unless you got a stall converter, but in all honesty i know nothing about automatic transmissions, i maybe have a total of 1000 miles of driving an auto car in my whole lifetime

you might look into getting a shift kit also

Wow, another need for a performance package. Hmmm...SLP has them, but only for Z28 and SS. Hmmmm...

So headers, intake, and tune? does anyone know how much generally quicker does that make it? Im lookin to make mine more competitive with the newer vehicles, get my 0-60 under 7s

Those mods will pretty much get you in the high "6's" to maybe mid "6's". Our cars run 7.4 stock...

i run a 9.4 1/8 mile, stock i ran a 9.95.

my mods are-
lid w/ k&n
ram air mod
power tower
headers
full 2.5 exhaust
no cat

and i put on 1.9 rockers, ls6 springs, and modded retainers since i ran the 9.4.

to my understanding we average about 15.2-15.4 stock...correct? 14's are not hard to come by tho.
