• Help...vaccuum line..thing.. blah

Well I was tapping into a vaccuum line to hook up a boost gauge, ran into a problem...

----------

It's a little black cylinder behind the passenger side hood strut base, there is either 2 or 3 vacuum lines that go into it (2 I believe are Stable vacuum and 1 is actual intake vacuum from the TB). Basically just need to know what the part is called and partnumber/etc.. Cause the stupid brittle piece of plastic basically shattered as soon as I touched it. The car runs OKAY without it but I can hear the vaccuum leak from the actual line and I know the plastic piece had some sort of baffle inside it so I'd like to get it replaced and taken care of.

Sorry, I know that's confusing...

Sam

Sounds like a vacuum check valve. A dealer would have it...dunno about the parts stores though.

I think I know what you are talking about.
It is mounted w/ two bolts straight into the passenger side of the upper intake manifold.
This is something that is a dealer or f body salvage yard only :(
F body salvage would be cheaper

Its actually farther over, its next to the pcm... see the following image

Its in the middle of the picture, has a white "top" and you can see the 3 vacuum lines coming off of it.. (not dialup friendly, 1meg picture)
