i was thinking about rebuilding by engine and i ran across an article on the buick turbo 3.8L. would it be possible to put one of those engines in my bird if i could find one. what all would be involved in that. it would be pretty cool and i think it may be cheaper in the long run.

Those engines are old. They are awesome though, built for boost. If you drag race only, it might be fun, but you are giving up a lot of technology if this is your daily driver.\'94 Camaro 3.4
\"No, Starvin Marvin. That\'s my pot pie.\"

It's been done before. There's some info on this board already about this topic. A few months back GMHTP ran an article about a guy who had the LT1 pulled from his '94 Formula & swapped in a 3.8L turbo Buick motor. I don't remember what issue it was (it's lying around here somewhere, though), the title of the article is Bye Bye Birdie ;) Not sure that this would be cheap, although if you could get your hands on the engine & accessories, it would certainly help to keep the cost down. Also in the article is the phone# for the guy who did the motor swap for the guy, when I run across the magazine I'll be sure to post the info. BTW, performance-wise the car's best time w/the GN motor was something like a 10.00 in the 1/4.2001 Onyx Black Camaro M5-Totalled
2005 Ford F150 XLT 5.4L

\"To make peace, prepare for war.\"
