What do you guys think of Castrol High Mileage oil.. it's a little pricey and I'm using it now (car has 76k miles)

i've got a cracked oil pan and i'm losing about a quart every 1500 miles.. is it safe to take a 3 hour trip in? Granted I bring oil?

3/4 of an inch crack on my windshield, it's not all the way through, is that new windshield info, or a quick fix?

I've got a wing west front bumper for my car *unpainted* just curious if i do the prep work myself *sanding*, if it'd be safe to bring to a cheap place like maaco.. thx

these all sound like questions for the state inspection person...

as for your trip, you should be fine, unless you're driving 500 MPH for 3 hours you won't lose enough to notice. put some in when you get there for the return trip, though.

as for your crack, is it an actual crack or one of those craters that is circular in shape? i think the max in virginia for an actual crack is 1-1/2" or something like that. gotta keep an eye on it now that it's getting warm because it will start to either spread or extend and THEN you'll be in the market for a new windshield.

if you do all the prepping, that body work is still fiberglass or plastic or some kind of composite and it requires special prepping if you want the primer and paint to stick to it. when that drunk *** ran into my car i took it to a place close to home instead of the place to which i wanted to take it... a year and a half later paint is starting to flake off the lowest part of the front clip

9 times out of 10 you get what you pay for, especially with body work.

the crack has a deepest part to it, which is about 1/5 of an inch, then 2 lines going up and down that make it a inch.. thx!
