i hit some water last friday when it rained bad, i think some water might have gotten into the throttle body. What could be wrong that i might need to replace. it turns on and runs but idles odd and has a delayed and limited acceleration response. It took more than an hour to turn it on. weird thing is it accelerates itself while left in park and idleing when it seems to drop below 500 rpm

Re: reduced engine power light came on
i would pull the park plugs out and see what they look like. also change the oil
if you did suck water in, you probably screwed the maf sensor

Re: reduced engine power light came on
the maf sensor works by heating a thin wire, then as air comes in and passes the wire it cools the wire. and the computer calculates how much air is coming into the engine by the difference in temp of the wire. So if water got on the sensor it would mess it up pretty badLast edited by Meatyshells; 06-23-2009, 04:27 PM.
