      wow. lucky they didnt damage the threads and as far as the oil changes go. (i always screw them on SNUG not ever ever tight. cause over time the filter tightens from vibration) TIGHTnING a oil filter on a 350 or a 454. down..haha good luck gettin that off. last time that happend. i had to use a hammer. pry bar. screw driver. and a torch. (heated the threats from the inside to expand so itll loosen easier)

      ADVICE! =] only only only snug it down once the filter has touched the block

        Couldn't agree had this problem a while ago.

        Mechanic friend told my get as close to the bottom of the filter as you can turn it, more leverage.

        Well at least you learned a lesson in that hot weather
