    Re: have a question

crank the car, and turn the ac on. turn the car off, and move the switches around, you should hear some sounds, like air moving around, and flaps closing. if you dont then, remove your switch panel and make sure its all connected. if so then your problem is either a bad vacuum line, or that piece. where its located on our cars, i have no idea.

i know on the ls1's it is behind the intake manifold.. so i would assume its somewhere around there on the 6's also

          Re: have a question

there will be one that goes from the map sensor on the passenger side of the intake to where ever.

              here.

the line coming from that goes to the map sensor and then around the intake to a vac port on the fuel rail. check to see if any of that is broken. thats where it gets vac from.

One piece at a time we'll try to diagnose it.

My car has started doing this too. During long trips I find that the air flow considerably lessens with the AC on until you shut it off and reset it. It also has started cutting out when accelerating at higher rpms, typically redirecting the air to upper parts of the dash, most likely the windshield defrost vents and floor vents. I'm wondering if left alone, it would end up similar to yours; constantly blowing toward the windshield and floor.
