    I don't see any problem w/moving them off the ICM and mounting them elswhere as along as the primary + wire leads do not exceed impendence values.

    Does anyone else see an issue w/doing this?

    I don't either but they might be there for a specific reason ask someone at your loacl Chevy dealership and they might be able to give you some more info
