Just to be on the safe side, I always replace mine at every 50k miles.

I lkie to change my fuel filter every 12,000 miles of 12 months whichever comes first. For me, 12,000 miles comes in less than 4 months. If you think the fuel filter has not been changed for 60,000 miles, then it is time to change it.

Strictly no more than 30,000 miles if you like a long living fuel pump. If you happen to have a GM truck, NO MORE than 20,000 miles.

I absolutely agree with DanBoy here. It's supposed to be 30k. And as for the 20k, it's to be on the safe side. As my friend's GMC pickup wouldn't start recently. Guess what happened? Yep, the pump died.

I just realized that I needed to change mine. I felt kinda stupid I didn't even realize I had to change it until I read my scheduled maintenance in my Haynes manual . I figure it has 70,000 on it. This is getting changed this weekend. I guess I should probably look into getting a new fuel pump to.

that's nothing, I was lazy and changed mine at 80k a couple months ago. Just because you are changing it a tad late don't mean you need a new pump.
