This cover is thin, possibly only about 3/8" thick tops. Its been awhile since I took it off, but I don't think its accessible without either pulling the trans out or pulling the engine out, partially because its between the back of the block and the firewall of the car. You might be able to get a ratchet down in there to remove it, but again, not sure of the clearance; I removed the one on my spare block with the engine out of the car.

If you pull the trans and the flywheel off you should be able to get at the rear cover. The gasket comes with a crank seal also. If you remove the inspection cover from around the flywheel you should be able to determine if that is where your leak is coming from.

bought them off of summitracing website...I can send you the link if you can't find them on there...it is the same one for both sides, they are just inserts...

Well the shop took off the inspection plate and said it wasnt coming from back there....so I doubt that is the issue then. Plus, I would think that the flywheel would also be wet then if that is where it is located...

Funny thing is, I never see any oil on the driveway...only on the damn Y-pipe...strange that I could loose soo much oil just onto that pipe....
