So today I finally got unlazy and decided to delete the a/c out of the car...fought with the condener for a good 20 mins...but what really has me stumped is the bolts on the compressor...I read there are some bolts on the back...more specifically a 15mm...well I took out all the bolts on the front, and it looks like the only bolt that is holding on the compressor is the bolt that holds on the ground for the engine? I didnt read anywhere that this bolt holds the bracket? Whats the deal with this...I cant get that damn bolt off, bot nuts and the bolt itself turn when I try to undo it, and it just twists the copper grounding piece...

Re: A/c Delete
ahh...The ground bolt wouldn't budge...the bolt and both nuts kept turning...even when I tried backup wrenches...Plus it was twisting that copper ground up so I left it alone...had the mechanic remove the damn bolt...apparently there were a few more, but that was the entire bracket that came off....I now have no a/c compressor, condenser, drier, upper idler pulley, or any of the brackets that held that stuff on....made ALOT of room...well worth the frustration lol...
Thanks for the help...I would of kept goin at it, but if I broke that engine ground off I was gunna be screwed...

i never used the damn thing when it worked...had a buddy in the buisness fix it once for free...didnt last long...didn't feel like trying to figure out where the leak was....just took the whole thing out...can notice a slight difference when driving...but then again I notice the small things like that...I felt a difference with my spare and jack out to...
definetly makes the job for the poly motor mounts look much easier now...

Re: A/c Delete
will do...they are sitting in my trunk at the moment until I can figure out what to do about my oil pan...Im having to add atleast a quart of oil to my engine between oil changes now...don't see any oil on the driveway, only onto the Y pipe...Flywheel is dry so its not the rear main...has to be the oil pan I guess...plus it looks like its starting to rust out...lucky me...
