Does it at least have LSD?? I don't think you really need it, but it's nice to know it's there. But it has a delayed reaction, meaning it takes a little spin before it kicks in. I had my traction control on when it was raining b4 and I spun a little when I was changing lanes causing me to fish a bit to the left and right. I wasn't even gassing it. How did people get to the snowy mountains and thru heavy snow b4 traction control? B4 frt wheel drive? just make sure you got some good snow tires.

In all honesty, us Canadians (and places where it snows) have the the skill to drive in that kind of weather. I drove my Camaro through 11" of fresh snowfall (overnight). In the morning I wiped my car off, made a path around it and left. I did not get stuck once. I have cooper cobra radial GT tires. They are all seasons. What traction controll does you can do just as good with ur feet and clutch.

I've never had traction control, and to be honest, it's not an option I would ever select when buying a car.
If it was standard equipment then I would make sure that it could be either turned off or disconnected.

Traction control wasn't even available in 3.4s. A quick search would have shown that the Traction light is your ABS.

you dont need it if you drive careful, but once i floored it on a left turn with it off and it caused me to do a 180. otherwise with it on that wouldnt of happened.

Traction control is for people who dont have enough skill to keep their car under control in low traction condition.

I don't want to sound stupid, but what is second gear start?

Is that where you start the car in second gear?

And you won't have to worry about doing 180s, something your feet and clutch can't help you out on.
