  • Help! Radiator change!

I have a 97 firebird, which still has the original radiator in it. I just found out the other day that it is leaking on the edge of it. I just bought a new radiator for it and was wandering how hard is it to replace it yourself, or if it would be easier just to go pay and have it done?

it takes about an hour or two to do it your self. real easy. take the support off, 4 screws at the top near your air filter base.

then the fan is clipped in, pull up and out on it and set it back. unhook your hoses and the radiator slides out...super simple.

on a scale of 1-10 i would rate it 3 tops.

Its actually quite simple in a V6 fbody. You'll have to remove the radiator hoses, the cover for the top of the radiator (has all the car and engine info stickers on it). Should have a couple of retainers of some sort, then it just slides out.
