Aluminum radiator swap and thermostat swap.

Wondering if by any chance someone has installed a Be Cool 60028 aluminum radiator in their V-6 powered 4th Gen F-Body. Read on the Chilton and Haynes manuals that the condensor and reservior have to be removed in order for the radiator to be removed/installed. Is this true? I did read in an article of Camaro Enthuiast that it wasn't too hard to install a Fluidyne Radiator (part is no longer made). Just I figured that the Be Cool Radiator is equivalent, and that it would fit in there. The hoses are in need of replacing, as well as the thermostat (want to go with a 180 degree, as compared to the 195 degree). That I do have a question. Does the 2001 and 2002 models require a transistor for the computer? I did as the guy who did the thermostat swap, but got that the e-mail address doesn't exist. Any help is appreciated

no transistor or whatever needed for a thermo swap. You just take the old out and put the new in. If you want overall cooler temps then you would need hptuners and change your fan settings lower. A cooler thermo is just going to open sooner and slow the warming up process. It will still get to 210* in a traffic jam on a warm day

very true i have the 160* thermo and still get hot in traffic. i also have a manual fan switch that HELPS but theres not a whole lot you can do to keep it from getting up there that i know of. im going to try out watter wetter to see if that helps me out
