i need some help from you guys on this one please?

ok so i replaced a trans mount on my 98 firebird manual about 1500 miles ago and we put in the regular hydraulic mount everything was perfectly fine got rid of all the bouncing in the shifter and much vibration.

well now just last night it started where it doesnt bounce at all or vibrate but from 1-3 if i punch it the shifter moves up ALOT then goes down and then when i shift again it will pop up. the shifter moves up almost making it uncomftorable to drive it cause it even goes up with the slightest take off?


can it be another broken trans mount?

could be another bad trans mount or engine mounts

yeah thts what i am thinking but what are the signs or torn or worn down engine mounts?

shifter moving up and down while driving, shifter traveling excessively on acceleration/deceleration

knocking noise when hitting bumps and when starting to move in 1st gear

i havent really heard any noises at all ?
the only thing is just the shifter moving up on acceleration and back down when letting off the pedal

coming freakishly high lol

Get under the car and look. Replaced my trans mount last weekend (only 2 years old) and it was pretty obvious as soon as I looked at it. It actually was a profitable repair in my case. The old part had a LLT warranty but the new part cost half what I paid for it 2 years ago.

Its probably torn man. I broke 3 stock mounts until I finally just got a ES Poly one. It had some vibration for a few weeks and now it feels like normal with no shifter movement.
