my car is confusing me and pissing me off!!!!!!

ok ignore my other problems cuz there gone. Mysteriously it was fine for a little while this morning. The car started up and ran fine again. Then i took it for a quick drive, came home turned it on to see if it worked for sure. Then off. Like two min later i try and turn it on but nothing!!! the car doest crank or turn over. I cant hear the starter clicking either. What can i check/do first before replacing it. Please help i have work in 4 hours and need ideas. thanks

Could be the ignition switch.

If it is a manual it could be the clutch safety switch.

its automatic. this sucks i get out of one problem and in comes a new one.

x2 on battery terminals... mine used to do this all the time, vibrations shake the terminals and they lose connection. Try screwing them in and make sure they're tight before checking everything else. Always start with the cheapest/easiest fix...

starter solenoid... easiest way is to take it out and take it to a parts store...

Or have someone tap on the starter with a hammer while you turn the key... if it starts when tapped, it's the solenoid... remove it and take it to a parts store and they'll bench test it to make sure...
