GRRRR!!! damn window!!!!!!

ok, my driver side window motor was replaced about 10 months ago. I went for a drive and rolled my windows down, when i tried to roll my windows up, the driver side wont move. What do i do? It looks like its gonna rain too. :mad:

Go find the people who put together these cars and shoot them, cus they didn't do a very good job! [img]graemlins/rant.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/twak.gif[/img] These cars look great and are fun to drive but BOY do they have maintenence issues!! No..lol in all seriousness, if you can't get it up find/buy some thick plastic and tape it around your window. Or tape a raincoat over it etc...Heck..park it somewhere it won't get wet ;)

The switch goes bad sometimes. Mine started playing games with me last thursday. It would power down, but not up. It took about 3 minutes, and started working again.
I'm ordering a new switch. Not gonna take any chances.

I don't know how badly the problem is. Could you give some more info. I had to replace both of my window motors they work great now. I just think I need to regrease up the regulators since I didn't do it when I installed the motors.

if its the motor then it should go up a bit at a time, it might take a while but it will go up about maybe 1/2'' wait about 10 min then it should go up another 1/2'' and so on...

can you hear the motor turn on, can u grab the window and lift it yourself, do u hear anything loose inside your door?

if it has full power when going down, but it wont go up, its probably the switch. mine was doing that about a month ago where you would have to push the "up" part of the switch 5+ times for it to work. after a while i couldnt get it to go up at all. so i took the switch apart and there was junk right where the switch pushes on to the circuit. it works fine now.

Dealership replaced mine twice,but it still hapens. Now i just give the door a swift bang and it goes up.

well there pretty to replace instead of payin 400 like i almost did.
all you have to do is punch out the rivits with a drill(fully charged) and it will drop out...its kinda hard to find all 3 or 4 of em.
after get some screws and bolts and put em the same place as the rivits plug everything back in and your done.

Chevorlet was smart to use rivits so they can make more money off you when the motors die out,

I went thru 4 motors in 2 years. Some of the rebuilt motors suck!
