On a 3800 on the passenger side by the computer. The harness the wraps around the front of the car hooks into the pcm. Now right next to it is another plug with from what i can tell, a red connector. What the heck is this for? I know it is on A4 cars but not sure if it is there on an M5 car. please help

I know which plug you're talking about. it's about 6-8" away from the PCM, just sticking out of the wiring loom waiting for something to be plugged into it. I've always wondered what it's for, too...
