what does adding a 180* stat do exactly? how does it affect everyday driving, like sitting in traffic? do you run the risk of overheating?94 Firebird, 3.4 V6, Red, M5
SLP CAI, Accel 8mm Superstock Wires, Bosch Platinum +4 Plugs, Borla Exhaust, BMR Strut Tower Brace, 180* Thermostat, B&M Ripper Shifter
http://www.cardomain.com/id/94bird

Ted, the tech database was wrong on the 1999+ stats. It states it comes 180 stock but it's actually 195 stock. It's in my manual and I also called the dealer to make sure. I was informing people on the cheaper price just in case someone puts a chip in their car.99 Camaro Z28 A4
R.I.P. 00 Firebird 3.8
14.89 @ 90, 2.03 60\'

I Just put a 180 stat (advance auto parts special...lol) in my 93 3.4 and it works great. I have heard that 180 is the way to go. 195 runs too hot and 160 has many problems. 180 is the most trouble free stat from what i've seen on this board.1993 Camaro 3.4L A4 many mods comin for 2004

\"The last thing I wanted was to get in a fight in Jackson, Mississippi on a Saturday night\"

not unless your car was 01-02 i believe. the 160 stat works awesome on my car and i love it. my car usually operates around 165, but since i live where there is a lot of traffic, then it usually gets up to the 195 mark. that's fine by me though--better than 210+ like stock stat would do.2000 NBM M6 Camaro Z28
323/335
