Has anyone ever removed their pcm? What precautions do I need to go through? I'm considering sending my pcm to asechip.

just be sure 2 disconnect the negative battery terminal first. then take off the pcm wiring harness its 2 bolts one on each connector, pull that off and pull the pcm out. its a little bit of a bi*** getting it in but you will figure it out

I've removed mine a couple of times.
It is a ***** to do!!!!!
Yup, dissconnect the battery.
Then unscrew those bolts holding in the wiring harnesses (two of them)
The computer sits in a black thing.
I found it easier to remove the bolt holding the blacxk thing in.
Then remove the computer on its own.
I tried to remove the computer still in the black thing but I could not.

The only precaution I can think of (other than disconnecting the neg. battery cable) is to WEAR GLOVES! I ended up drawing blood about 4 times in the process of taking out and putting in my PCM.
