.... so it seems my fuel pump just went out...

i know a lot of you have replace just the pump instead of the entire assembly

i was wondering if anyone could give me some general tips for changing just the pump ... i've changed the whole assembly in cars before so thats not a problem ... but i've never taken the assembly apart and changed just the pump ... im currently layed off and cant really afford to spend 300-400 on a new fuel pump assembly

also wondering if this is a suitable replacement http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...d=225&catid=10

well ... i got the walbro in ... everything went pretty smooth ... the gasket that came with the kit didnt fit my car though ... it was way too small ... im thinking maybe it was for the pre 1998 ... i used the old gasket and it didnt leak so it still worked out

i found this how to http://www.gonicd.com/intankinstall/...mpinstall.html ... thought i'd share ... figured some people may find it helpful

Thats def. the way to do the installs , will save alot of time. I did the same putting sound deadening material over it for a door.
