but if i remove the sensor from the passenger header and put the wideband o2 how will the car run right since the PCM can't read it.
It will be in open loop mode. Working mainly from the MAF calibrations. This is how you should really tune your car. Our o2 sensors only make the minor corrections to the calibration of our other sensors to help make a 14.7 AFR under cruise conditions. This is why it's important to have a wideband for WOT tuning since the stock o2 sensors cannot be used for tuning WOT fuel ratios.

so i should remove the passenger o2 and put the wideband in it's place and this will make it run rich? well ill try it,i guess it's way better to un rich than lean,oh by the way my bosch plugs keep getting black kinda like dust, but on the outer ring of the plug it gets kinda really black and wet with like fuel i think.
This isn't a permanent fixture, just something to do to figure out wtf is really going on with your fueling.
Yeah, if you're plugs are getting fuel on them, you're obviously running rich which could be a compensation that your o2 sensors are making if there's a leak at the manifold to block gasket.

i dont get that, how can i run rich if the guage says im running lean at idle, also i got it scanned a while back with a gm scanner after the header install and he said the same thing.
Do you have HP tuners or anything? If there is an exhaust leak your wideband will read lean since there is air getting into the exhaust piping. If the leak is before your stock o2 sensors air will get to them causing those to read lean. If your stock o2 sensors read a lean condition the PCM reads that and tries to compensate by adding more fuel. If there is a leak after the stock o2 sensors, you're really just going to see a lean read in just your wideband.

true, true, well i really think the exhaust leak has to be the problem but those stupid flanges are leaking and im afraid to tighten it too much but thanks for the help man ill let you know whats up tomorrow,im out for the night, later.
If you used good header bolts like ARP, you don't have to worry about striping one. Also if you used paper gaskets it might be time to replace those with something better.
im just afraid off tightening it too much, seriously i bench over 250lbs and i kinda broke several bolt in the past lol,i think it's leaking where the headers meet the y pipe, does anyone have obx headers and do they have leaks?
hey guys since i didn't drive the car for a day i decided to take it for a spin,i let it warm up a bit then gave it some gradual WOT it ran good and i could hear the exhaust leak but when you down shift the guage goes blank all the way to the lean but as you accelerate it goes to 15.3 to 11.2 at WOT mabe less but after i stopped and parked it and let it idle it got a bit rough and was @ 16.7 then after a couple seconds it went and stayed at around 15.2 to 15.9 at idle(rarely hits 16.0)and every time i rev it it goes rich and when the rpm's drop it goes lean the settles at the mid 15's.So ill definitely try to fix the leaks and also full some gas since my fuel is low that may make it run a bit lean, not to mention im trying to run out the fuel since i have added 104+ octane boost.
i added the octane boost so if i was running a bit lean it would help, btw i now found the leak,it is leaking from the egr where it bolts on the header, how would i fix that? it is tight but it needs something like a gasket.
