Ok this only happens when Im starting and stoping constantly while driving spiritedly. I havent lost any coolant that I can see. Car 99.99999% of the time runs 160* but when/if it gets to 190* or so I can smell a faint coolent like smell.
I cant run any tests on the road right now because the axles are still poop. :(
Blown engine, J/K, check the cap and then let it run to see if the water pump weep hole is leaking and theres also the lower intake coolant elbow. You still need axles? PM me.

I just had a coolant smell I could not trace,I even pulled the overflow tank to see if it was cracked,it wasn't.
I picked up a new Stant rad cap for $6.00 taxes in.
No more coolant smell......yet.
Hey coolant overflow tank. I bet thats it, I think I remember seeing some coolant around there when I did my flush.
I believe you just solved my issue.
Would I be correct in saying that when it heats up that the rad will push coolant in the overflow and that it would leak just enough for smell but not enough to notice coolant?
