  • What to do next?

Hey everyone, so ive had my 2001 camaro for about 4 years now, its got 97,000 miles on it. i just put it away in storage and wont be driven or pulled out of storage till may 9 :(

as we all know how addicting it can be when it comes to modifying our cars, i figured id ask this question to some of you experts on the forum who have their cars pretty fixed up:

i have the following down to my car,
    -K&N cai
    -JET chip
    -Flowmaster american thunder exhaust
    -SLP lower temperature control module
    -Spohn rear sway bar
    -B&M front tower bar

just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what i could do next performance wise? id prefer to keep it N/A but if its not gonna drain my wallet, i wouldnt mind throwing a used powerdyne on or turboing it.

    Thanks guys,
    ~Robb

        headers headers headers

complete that exhaust and look into a cam setup.

throw some sfcs in there and it'll make a world of difference in handling.

now when it comes to the headers and a lower thermostat:

          headers..painted or armor coated?
          thermostat...160 or 180?

Hp tuners above all should really be a high priority. It'll keep your engine alive as well as actually put those mods to use. This means, ditch the Jet chip. I installed a tune on one of my car's with that Hypertech power programmer 3 a.k.a. HPP3 and found that it actually created a ton of knock when I scanned it with HP tuners. I don't trust chips or mail order tunes since they are not real calibrations as to what your car is actually doing. I see them as trying to shoot a target in the dark with a beeper on it.

true.....but can a person who has zero tuning experience, be able to tune their car with hptuners, and get close to or the same results as a mail order tune? Thats been the major reason for me not purchasing HPTuners and planning on going with PCMforless tune

Headers, armor coated (looks better, and will stay looking better), also SFC's like said before

there are tons of guides everywhere as to how to tune a car. But there are lots of small things that hp tuners can do that a caveman could figure out.

                      SFC's: 2-point or 3-point?

Would agree on headers, it'll wake up your engine even more.

i have the 2 points and they changed the handling significantly. either way you'll have a great upgrade.
