Originally posted by HokieBird: If you get ramps they can't have too drastic of a rake because you will scrap your front end. I stacked a couple pieces of wood infront of my ramps then drove up and still touched a little.
I found a set of ramp extenders to solve this problem. Only like $15, and they snap into place so they don't move. I forget where I ordered them from...probably summit.
my car wont work with any ramps ive tried. all are way too steep. i can barely get a jack under it. ill stick with the jack and jackstands. and please dont go changing your oil with just your spare tire jack.
yes, please dont use your spare tire jack. like someone else said rhino ramps are great, i dont scrap at all, or even come close, but i dont have GFX. they should work, and thier not that expensive ( got them for christmas, dont no exact price sorry) we have a heavy duty jack that doesnt fit under my car, i had to drive up on two 2x4's yesterday to put my rims on. the ramps will be under $40 im sure.

pfft. Drive a 4x4 truck like I do - dont even need to jack it up! =P
But for my mustang, I just lift it up a tiny bit. I can change the filter from above and the drain plugs are in the bottom of the pan - straight up and down its PERFECT.
Mustangs.. Come to the darkside...

The dark side is the path to the shadow of greed. =D
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
