he speaks the truth, we have an almost identical setup

i got the doo doo series flowmaster. i am gonna do that thing where you put canister mufflers on the tips to hopefully make it sound better.

i still dont have mine running. anyone wanna contribute to the "kyle still needs to fix his car" fund?

so it looks like the super turbo muffler is the best...does it that have that rasp above 4k like our cars do? i would like to keep it single pipe as well to keep the stockish look. how will it sound with my cam?

I had the guys at Discount Tires rotating my tires , when they pulled it up they were all coming over and checking it out, the service guy asked me what is in there a cam and stroker kit?, like it was a LT1, I just laughed and said just cammed a built engine headers and 3" exhaust etc.. I didn't tell them it was only a sixzer.LOL Same guys at checker, always ask whats in it when I was filling my nitrous bottles and had the Summit Turbo on it at that time and the one guy said that is the best exhaust I have heard on a F-body , mild in sound and sounds good through the gears. I don't know, this is what people ask and tell me , I never tell the its a six unless, I know if they know about cars, because its a waste of my time to explain it all to them.LOL

it's like after running on a stang GT in some "spirited driving" and they always say: man i almost kept up with your 350---then i get to say, nope, didn't even need an ls1, you just got ran by my 6banger :D

Mine still has the rasp but it sounds nothing like the flowmasters the dynomax super turbo hides it much better. After driving around 100 miles today going from flow to dyno was a great upgrade. Lost the noise but definitely gained power from the better flow. The only reason flows are loud is because they create all that backressure for noise but kills horsepower.

Im done with flowmasters as for borla ill wait till i actually get my v8 to throw money like that into an exhaust, better yet i want slp loudmouth my cousin has ls1 '00 ta with true duals and slp loudmouth on end of each dual sounds SOO good.

i can agree to this ^

you gotta be fully committed to spend borla money. the super turbo is a good alternative for a budget build i'd say.

Looking on Summit, the Dynomax is cheaper than the Flowmasters($30). I was considering either Dynomax and Magnaflow, but went with the Magnaflows.
