i can change the filter for a different one, what would be the difference between have a short ram air like that as to cold air ?

I think they are pretty much the same thing except the cold air intake gives it slightly colder air but the short ram is supposed to give you a little bit better throttle response, i'm not 100% though. But for the time being you can give this a try too.

does a slp cai cold air intake for a v8 have the same tubes as the slp cai
v6 3.8?

I dont know if its the same tubing but ideally it should fit with some small modifications.


as for ram air I believe those type of intakes are set up assuming you have a hood scoop that will ram the air through the scoop and into that intake such as the SS hoods, ultra z hood, ws6 hood, etc.

Cold air intake is pretty much anything else that will bring cold air into your engine.

I ended up buying the slp cai for the v6 3.8. I hope get some kinda gain out of this, I'm not expecting much because everything else is stock....for now
